Development: PM announces funds for K-P legislators

Prime minister made these announcements during a meeting with PPP’s members in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Sunday announced a special assistance package of Rs20 million for each member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (K-P) provincial assembly for development projects in their respective constituencies. The prime minister made these announcements during a meeting with PPP’s members in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly at the Prime Minister House. He also directed the finance ministry to release the funds immediately. Paying a rich tribute to the people, law enforcement agencies and K-P legislators for their courageous role in the war against terror, the premier said Pakistan owed much to the sacrifices rendered by them. He assured that the federal government will extend all possible assistance to the provincial administration in its efforts for the welfare of the people.
