Cooperatives: Cholistan livestock project to be expanded

Livestock Secretary Irfan Elahi said steps should be taken to provide clean drinking water to the livestock.

BAHAWALPUR: Shadbad Cooperative Livestock Farms project in Cholistan is going to be extended.

A new draft PC-1 (project digest) for the purpose was presented to a meeting of the steering committee on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Livestock Secretary Irfan Elahi.

The meeting reviewed the project and made recommendations for the project.

Commissioner Muhammad Khan Khichi said the success of the project depended on the provision of electricity through bio gas plants.

Livestock Secretary Irfan Elahi said steps should be taken to provide clean drinking water to the livestock.

He said the project aimed at adopting modern methods to improve livestock and thus improve the socio-economic conditions for the inhabitants of Cholistan.
