In the meeting, party leaders informed Zardari about the current political situation of the province and resistance faced from nationalist and some allies parties over the recently passed Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO). The President told Agha Siraj Durrani to hold talks with allies and address their reservations regarding the new law.
Party leaders also briefed the co-chairman that the PPP will hold a large public gathering in Hyderabad on October 15 where the party will attempt to inform the public about benefits of the new local government system.
Zardari also briefed about the recent floods affecting the five districts of Sindh. President directed the PPP leaders to conduct a survey of the flood affected areas and file a report within 15 days.
Durrani told Express News that Zardari was of the opinion that people should criticise the local body system, but that criticism must be constructive, adding that nothing can be gained through strikes and violence. President also said that he and his party leaders are willing to address everyone's reservations about the local body system.

PPP has reached to its THE lowest level of popularity since its inception in their strong center Sindh. People of Sindh stood by PPP in their bad days like ROCK but PPP in power is different and they have made decisions which are completely unacceptable to people of Sindh. PPP's agenda should be the betterment of people, a system which brings people together but currently it seems PPP can do any thing to stay in power even at the cost of Sindh.
