The Lahore High Court on Thursday directed the Federal Investigation Agency to register cases against Future Concern (FC) and issued non-bailable warrants for its owner Asim Malik for not appearing before the court.
Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi passed this order while hearing dozens of petitions against Future Concern, a visa consultancy firm. The petitioners say they gave Malik money for going abroad but he didn’t send them nor repay them.
At an earlier hearing, the judge had rejected a medical certificate submitted by Malik’s counsel to seek exemption from personal appearance and summoned the doctor who had issued it. The doctor has not turned up despite repeated summons.
On Thursday, Justice Naqvi issued a show cause notice to the doctor for contempt of court and adjourned the hearing till October 8.
