Grenade attack: Coach partially damaged after explosion

Nobody was hurt as the explosion occurred before the coach departed for Peshawar.

KARACHI: A coach was damaged after a grenade exploded underneath it in Pathan Colony near Banaras, said the SITE A section police, on Wednesday. A bomb disposal squad was called to the site and it was suspected that the grenade was Russian made and contained 65 grams of explosive material. Nobody was hurt as the explosion occurred before the coach departed for Peshawar. SHO Rao Rafiq said that the motive behind the incident was unknown as the owner of the intercity coach, Shahid, had no personal enmity with anyone and had not received any threats of extortion.
