‘Germany has started 14 projects so far’

It has invested in alternative energy, infrastructure in Pakistan.

KARACHI: Consul General of Federal Republic of Germany in Pakistan Dr Tilo Klinner said his country had started more than 14 projects in Pakistan.

Speaking at a reception held in connection with celebration of the Day of German Unity at the consulate, the German consul general said it was his earnest desire to see Karachi regain its rightful place as the city of lights and said that Pakistan can always work with Germany to improve its infrastructure.

He said Germany had started several alternative energy and infrastructure projects to contribute to Pakistan’s development.

Klinner said the Day of German Unity was a very happy occasion and the German reunification was a unique achievement not only for Europe but the European Union as well.

Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khuhro, who was chief guest on the occasion, said that Pakistan had great regard for Germany and the country can learn many lessons from Germany in travelling the road to prosperity.

He added that Pakistan will overcome all its adversities and it greatly appreciated the help that Germany was providing in many projects. He hoped that both Pakistan and Germany will continue to work together.

We are thankful to western countries for the projects they have started in our country.
