According to sources quoted in the report, the Indian home secretary has asked the Indian foreign secretary to inform Pakistan about the proposal to send its investigators.
The investigation team aims to inspect the evidence collected by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), including items seized from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) training camps where 10 Mumbai attackers were allegedly trained, the news website reported.
The Indian team will also try to examine Pakistani ship al Hussaini, which was allegedly used by the terrorists to reach India. Examination, however, can only be carried out if Pakistan provides access to the ship.
Ajmal Kasab
On August 20, India’s Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence handed down to Mohammed Kasab, the lone surviving gunman from the 2008 Mumbai attacks in which 166 people were killed.
He was found guilty of charges including waging war against India, murder and terrorist acts, and was given the death penalty in May 2010. He later applied for clemency from the Indian president in a final bid to avoid the gallows.

I thought India already had investigated and had SOLID evidence against Hafiz Saeed et al. What are these investigations for? Normally investigations are done before nominating the suspects, not after. Who doesn't India give the SOLID evidence against Hafiz Saeed to US and take the 10 million dollar bounty. With 10 million dollars India can make some toilets for its people.
Did India allow Pakistanis to investigate the Mumbai false flag operation? NO Did India allow to Pakistanis to meet and interrogate Ajmal? NO Did India provide Pakistan with solid evidence? NO
What are they going to do in Pakistan? Have the famous Karachi biryani??
We are ready to co-operate fully with Indian investigation team but would Indian government like to explain that when Pakistan said to send Pakistani investigation team to India regarding Mumbai attacks why Indian government refused to allow Pakistani investigation team to meet Ajmal Kasab for further investigation to reach the results??????
@Umar: Well, with that same logic then may be we should send investigation teams to investigate why baloch's are being killed, why Ahmadis, Hindus and Christians are being butchered, why there are target killings in Karachi, why Musharraf was not punished for Kargil massacre, why atrocities of Pakistani army went unpunished during 1971 Bangladesh independence struggle, and so on...
@Umar: Head some days ago Pakistan sent a UN Mission back and has unilaterally decided not to allow any more UN missions into the country; why? because the said UN mission wanted to meet stakeholders of the issue for which they were here and the Pakistani authorities of course, wouldn't have any of that though ti was they that invited the mission; I guess they were displeased that the Mission decided to do something more than enjoy their tea parties - before thinking of sending Pakistani missions to India - please allow at least UN missions into your own country - start with Balochistan if you please....
I do remember the Pak govt. flew their invited journalists over to East Pakistan in 1971 so they could get them to write government sponsored accounts of what was happening there - of course the reality was so horrendous that one of those journalists decided he couldn't live with it and decided to tell the world the truth - he and his family had to be evacuated to safety out of Pakistan before the Guardian published the front page article titled 'GENOCIDE' - Google and you'll find the whole story with name - remember any of this? Please read some of your own sordid history before blabbing about sending missions to other countries...
@Hukka: to roger "It is part of Pakista... It is disputed region per UN. Recommend Don't let your wayward mind wander. If it is "disputed", how is it a part of Pakistan?
@Hukka: UN teams have many times visited Kashmir, even members of European union have visited Kashmir, not just Kashmir, they have all visited even northeastern states.but if you remember correctly, recently Pakistan said that it will not allow any UN team to visit Baluchistan, on one side Pakistan wants UN to visit Kashmir and carry out the investigation,on the other hand Pakistani authorities don't want UN to investigate the cases of missing persons in Baluchistan. can you notice the hypocrisy?
@Hukka Keep dreaming.. Who will listen to you? US? OR China?OR Afghanistan?
Nobody.
Not even Kashmiris listen to you.
@roger: Kashmir is not your responsibility. It is part of Pakistan that has been illegally occupied by India. It is disputed region per UN.
Tit for Tat +++++++
@Umar: kashmir is our responsibility as it belongs to us......we wanna investigate not the daily ongoing killings in karachi....since it does not bother us....we want to investigate the violence caused in our city by men from pakistan....understand the difference????
