
Qadir Zehri, a leader of the Balochistan chapter of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and his two guards were shot dead by gunmen in an apparent targeted attack in the industrial town of Hub on Sunday.
Gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on the car of Qadir Zehri on Sakuran Road, according to police officials. Zehri and his guards received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.
The bodies were shifted taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
“The incident appears to be a target killing case,” said a police official requesting anonymity, adding that an investigation into the incident was under way. No group claimed responsibility for the attack till the filing of this report.
