Pipeline cleaning: Sweepers suffocate

Victims were brought to the hospital by their contractor.

KARACHI: Three sweepers died of suffocation while cleaning a sewerage line in Quaidabad on Wednesday.

They were identified as Javed Masih, Amanat Masih and Eric Masih. They were taken to Jinnah hospital. SHO Amanullah Marwat said the victims were brought there by their contractor, Pervez Masih, to clean the line near Daud Challie. The police are looking for the contractor.
