The Waseer Industrial Feeder was inaugurated at the 132-KV Jaranwala grid station on Tuesday. The ceremony was presided over by MNA Nawab Sher Waseer chairman of the PM’s Inspection Commission.
Addressing the ceremony, Waseer said the Waseer Industrial Feeder had been completed at a cost of Rs6.9 million. “Jaranwala tehsil has only one 132-KV grid station. The long lines create voltage problems particularly for farmers and domestic consumers in far flung areas,” he said.
“The federal government has also approved setting up of a new grid station in 570-GB, Jaranwala,” he said.
Fesco CEO Iftikhar Ahmad, said two voltage regulators had been installed and another was being installed to overcome the complaints of voltage fluctuation in 11-KV Lahore Road feeders.
