Bridge: Nadeem, Javed win pair contest

KARACHI: Khalid Nadeem and Tabrez Javed won the Karachi Gymkhana Pair Bridge Contest in style after accumulating a grand score of 67 per cent, according to information given by the Karachi Bridge Association. The pair showed remarkable control right from the word go to register victory against their opponents Ghaffar Qureshi and Dinaz Dubash. They mustered seven top and 12 above average scores. Qureshi and Dubash claimed second position with a score of 58.56 per cent, while Anwer Gheewala and Azwarul Haque finished with 53.79 per cent to complete the podium.
