FAISALABAD: A woman was strangled allegedly by her brother Monday in Rodala Road area. Police said Shahbaz, a resident of Chak 584-GB, Athowal, had suspected his sister, Walayat Bibi, of having an affair with a neighbour. On Monday, the two had an argument, after which Shahbaz took her to Gogera Branch Canal, strangled her and abandoned the body there. Some residents, who discovered and identified it, called the police, who informed the family. The body was then sent for a postmortem examination.  Rodala Road station house officer said that the family had not filed a complaint yet. Some neighbours told the police that Shahbaz had on several occasions previously threatened to kill Walayat Bibi.
