Action against 25 cops

Action against 25 police officers on charges of poor performance.

District Police Officer Sohail Habib Tajik has ordered disciplinary action against 25 police officers on charges of poor performance.


SI Rasheed Ahmad has been terminated and SI Fayyaz Ahmad forcibly retired. Inspector Muhammad Ikram Shah has been made an SI, SI Muhammad Ajmal a head constable and SI Abdul Hameed an ASI. The constables expelled from service have been identified as Abdul Hameed, Muhammad Arshad, Adil Furqan, Farukh Shahid, Ghulam Rasool, Amir Mehmood and Shakeela Kausar.

Two years have been deducted from SI Muhammad Iqbal’s service, two years from SI Danish Naveed’s, four years from SI Shakeel Ahmad’s, two years from SI Mehboob Iqbal’s, three years from SI Muhammad Mansha’s, one year from SI Kaleem’s, five years from SI Riaz Ahmad’s and three years from SI Muhammad Mobeen’s.

Inspectors Akram, Allah Bakhsh and Sana Mehmood and SIs Muhammad Azam, Ghulam Yasin and Muhammad Riaz Ashraf have been censured. The DPO also distributed cash prizes among policemen  for doing well.
