Australia has also demanded that the blood samples of the sheep be sent to international laboratories for tests so it can be made sure that the sheep are not ill.
On Tuesday, the Sindh High Court had stayed the culling of the thousands of sheep imported from Australia and constituted a committee headed by Secretary Sindh Livestock Department to collect fresh samples from the animals.
The order was given on a petition filed by the importer who claimed that the Islamabad-based Research and Safety Laboratory had declared the sheep as ‘clean of any disease’, and contended that the government authorities collected samples of sheep without permission.

@abdussamad: No, they love you.......do you love them?
its all a game of commissions and kickbacks. The corrupt government can kill people for this, why would thousands of sheep matter!
@Sonya:
If they are sheep then it doesn't matter if they look like pigs tom or jerry or a cat. Do you mind to provide a link to such event ever happening or was it something you just heard and believed upon.
The party importing the sheep is notorious and they had tried to import pigs like sheep into Pakistan some ten years ago. Australian High Commissioner must take this consignment back home for the consumption of Australian citizens.
The sheep are fine, local politicians are hoarding local animals for Eid and this represents a loss for them. Simple explanation, let science do the talking.
