Late night murder: Ex-nazim shot dead

Jamat-e-Islami leader had come out of his home in a car when unidentified men riding a bike sprayed bullets on him.

KARACHI: Former Liaquatabad Town Nazim Dr Pervez Mehmood and one his friends was shot dead along with a friend late on Monday night near the KDA Chowrangi in Nazimabad.  Mehmood, a Jamat-e-Islami leader had come out of his home in a silver Honda Civic car when unidentified men riding a bike sprayed bullets on him and a friend Khaliq Ullah, said police. Both were critically injured and expired before they were brought to Abbasi Shaheed hospital.
