Building ties: Senate chairman in Cuba

It is the highest level bilateral visit from Pakistan to Cuba.

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari on Saturday said exchange of delegations would help enhance trade between Cuba and Pakistan. Nayyer Bokhari, who is heading a Senate delegation to Cuba is accompanied by Senators Saeed Ghani, Mushahid Ullah Khan and Nuzhat Sadiq and Secretary Senate Iftikhar Ullah Babar. According to a message received here, it is the highest level bilateral visit from Pakistan to Cuba. During meetings with Cuban Minister for Foreign Affairs Bruno Parrilla and Minister for Higher Education Rodolfo Alarcon, Nayyer underlined biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and higher education as promising areas for further cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador of Pakistan to Cuba Khalilullah Qazi was also present during the meetings.
