Delegation visit: WHO representatives praise LUMHS
Say they would recommend it for status of ‘centre of excellence’ so that it may coordinate with humanitarians.
HYDERABAD:
A delegation from the World Health Organisation, UNICEF and UNFPA visited Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, on Friday. The WHO’s Guido Sabatinalle, UNICEF’s Dar Rohram and UNFPA’s Rabbi Royan met vice chancellor, Dr Mashoor Alam, and praised the standard of education and the university’s work on preventive and curative medicine. They said that they would recommend LUMHS for the status of ‘centre of excellence’ so that it may coordinate with the humanitarian organisations.
