Robbery case: Man sent to prison for three years

The judge allowed the period of detention to be deducted from the three year sentence.

The court sentenced Allah Bux alias Pappu to three years in prison with a fine of Rs5,000 for robbery. On Tuesday, the district and sessions judge, Malir, found Pappu guilty after four witnesses testified against him.


He was convicted under section 265-H (2) of the Criminal Procedure Code. The judge allowed the period of detention to be deducted from the three year sentence. According to FIR no. 784/11, Pappu and his accomplices - Aurangzaib and Akbar - stole Rs22,000, two cell phones, a drivers licence and Computerised National Identity Card from Abdul Ghafoor, the complainant, and his cousin near Shedi Khan Goth in November, 2011.

The police arrested Pappu and registered the FIR under section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Shah Latif Town police station.
