Targeted killing: Policeman among three shot dead

DSP Rustam Nawaz said that Nawaz was shot once in the head and the body.

Nawaz, 45, a police constable, was shot dead on his way to the police station by unidentified men riding on a motorcycle in Orangi Town, said the Pirabad police. DSP Rustam Nawaz said that Nawaz was shot once in the head and the body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.


Forty-three-year old Salahuddin was gunned down and his brother, Sirajuddin, was wounded when two unidentified men opened fire at them in Ali Town, said the Sacchal police. SHO Azhar Ali Iqbal said that Salahuddin and Sirajuddin were on their motorcycle when the incident took place and they were killed over personal enmity. Their nephew is Ataullah, a local Awami National Party leader. A man, identified as Abdul Ghaffor, 45, was shot dead by two unidentified men riding on a motorcycle near his home in Kunwari Colony, said the Manghopir police. Police officials said that Ghaffor was from Afghanistan and the motive behind the incident was unknown.
