Diagnosed: Six test positive for dengue

The number of confirmed dengue cases in Punjab reached 70.

LAHORE: Six individuals tested positive for dengue fever on Tuesday, taking the number of confirmed cases in Punjab to 70. Four patients tested positive for dengue fever at Mayo Hospital while two patients tested positive at Lahore General Hospital. Separately, MNA Naseer Bhutta, chairman of the Nishtar Town Dengue Response Committee, asked doctors and philanthropists to raise awareness of measures to stop the dengue mosquito from breeding. He asked factory owners in the Kot Lakhpat Industrial Area to ensure cleanliness in factories. He was presiding over a meeting of the Nishtar Town administration. It was told warnings had been issued to BEL and Sheraz Fabrics after dengue mosquito larvae were found in their premises. 125 tyres were also seized during checking at tyre shops.
