Pakistan confident of kabaddi gold
The hosts lost the final of the inaugural event 44-38 to India but will be looking to go one better this time in front of the home crowd.
“We’re looking forward to the event and hope that our team will go one step further this time and win the cup,” Sarwar told The Express Tribune. “With the event being played at home, it’s a great opportunity to put up a good show for the local fans.”
Sarwar added that the players will go through a training camp for the tournament will be played from October 27 at the Punjab Stadium and includes India, Sri Lanka, Iran, Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand and Afghanistan. The team have been divided into two groups with the top two from each group going through to the semi-finals. The winning team will receive a Rs1.5m prize-money while the runners-up will pocket Rs1 million.
He added that the PKF was planning to put forward a proposal that will help kabaddi become part of the Asian Games.
“We want Kabaddi to be in included in the Asian Games and will try our best to get it done,” he said.

Kabaddi is already in Asian Games right from 1990. This is Circle Style Kabaddi Which is refered in the article.
