Cricket diplomacy: PCB boss, Krishna discuss visas for Pakistani fans

Ashraf requested for Indian government’s help in facilitating Pakistani fans eager to witness Pakistan-India series.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf called on Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna on Friday, and elicited his support in providing Indian visas to Pakistani cricket fans, according to press release.


Chairman Ashraf requested for Indian government’s help in facilitating Pakistani fans eager to witness the Pakistan-India series scheduled to be held in India in December this year.

Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal was also present during the meeting.

Krishna assured his full support in the matter and directed the high commissioner to extend maximum cooperation.
