Pitter-patter: Weather pleasant after rainfall in parts of Pakistan

Monsoon season has brought rain to different parts in Pakistan, Express News reported Wednesday.

The weather in Karachi became pleasant after it rained in different areas of Karachi, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Landhi, Malir Super Highway, Defence, Clifton and Orangi Town. Continual rains are expected in Karachi in the next 24 hours.

According to the Met Office, eight millimeters of rain was recorded in Landhi and PAF Airbase Faisal, five millimeter in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and seven millimeter at Karachi Airport. The maximum rain which was recorded in the Safoora Goth area was 27 millimeter.

Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Touseef Alam said that this monsoon pattern will continue till Sunday in the metropolis.

One hundred and thirty four electricity feeders tripped due to the heavy downpour in Karachi. The rain also caused heavy traffic in different parts of the city.

In Lahore, heavy rains were recorded in the Jail Road, Mall Road, Model Town and Defence areas.
