ISLAMABAD: A three-member delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) held a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leaders in Islamabad on Tuesday, in efforts to bring together all political and religious parties for “national unity”.

The MQM delegation comprised of the party’s Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar, Federal Ports and Shipping Minister Senator Babar Ghauri and Senator Tahir Mashhadi.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dr Sattar said that the agenda of the meeting was to discuss Pakistan’s security and stability. “We discussed the current situation of the country, and also forwarded MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s concerns about the internal and external threats being faced by Pakistan.”

Reiterating Hussain’s statements, Dr Sattar said that the security and stability of Pakistan will be in grave danger if the current law and order situation prevails.

“We are working on a national agenda,” he added.

Nadia | 11 years ago | Reply Whom you both making fool???? Sitting together with MQM is not for national intrestst but for greater personal interest. Why during election season you remembered it is in national interest?? Why you did not take pain of such national interest when your top leadership was openly abusing each other and billions of people were watching it live on television screens. Do you think people are insane, nincompoop and blockheaded, they are quite naïve of such political gimmicks. I could still remember when Altaf Bhai said in his speech that Nawaz Shairf always speak ‘Bhoon Bhoon’ (bark of dog). He also hurled many attacks at the Nawaz Sharif and then the next day, Nawaz Sharif in Muzzaffarabad said that MQM was responsible for the massacre of the 12th May. Then MQM people hurled more accusations at the Nawaz Sharif. Now the fire is really burning. First Chaudhry Nisar said that Altaf Hussain is not a Pakistani and holds British passport. Then MQM’s Waseem Akhtar and Haider Abbass Rizvi used extremely dirty and obscene language against the Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. Wah ray siyasat tere rang..
