Sports: Imrana wins in badminton event

The neighbourhood and village level of the Punjab Youth and Sports Festival continued for the sixth successive day, and a heavy programme of boys and girls events was witnessed in parts of the province, according to the Punjab Sports Board. In the badminton event, Imrana beat Sadia 20-16.  Naveed, Jawad and Usman were also declared winners in their categories. In certain places, where events were marred by morning rain, they were conducted in the evening, while the indoor competitions continued as planned in which female players also participated with enthusiasm. Nearly 80,000 members of the Sports and Youth Development Councils took part in the neighbourhood and village level of the Festival in 25 districts of the province.
