Entrance schedule: DCET admission date set for Oct 1

The institution will offer 173 seats each for urban and rural areas of Sindh.

Admissions will commence from October 1 for the next academic session at the Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET). The institution is offering 562 seats across nine engineering disciplines, The Express Tribune learnt on Wednesday.

The institution will offer 173 seats each for urban and rural areas of Sindh and a total of 75 seats were offered to students from other provinces. The college will also offer 100 seats on a self-finance basis at Rs400,000 each (same as the previous year). This amount was Rs250,000 three years ago, which was increased to Rs315,000 in 2010.


The deadline for submitting applications is October 20, after which entrance tests will be conducted simultaneously at centres in Karachi, Sukkur and Islamabad by the Muhammad Ali Jinnah University on November 18.
