RAWALPINDI:

Despite being mandatory, the health department has failed to provide official mobile phones, SIMs, and free internet to dengue sanitation patrol workers participating in anti-dengue campaigns across Rawalpindi district.

Workers said they were supposed to receive official mobile phones, SIMs, and free internet in March 2024.

Letters were also sent by the District Health Authority and DO Health to the Director General Health, but no provision has been made to date. As a result, workers continued to use their personal mobile phones, SIMs, and internet during both the 2024 and 2025 anti-dengue campaigns.
