The Racecourse police on Tuesday arrested eight gamblers and seized Rs28,270 and other valuables from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a gambling den in Mohammadi colony Rawalpindi and arrested Arshad, Sher Zaman, Amjad, Ilyas, Amir, Faheem, and Khalid. Meanwhile, the same police arrested Wajid and seized a 30-bore revolver with two bullets from him. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects, said a policeman.
