CIA police arrested six suspected carjackers and bike lifters; recovered three stolen motorbikes from their possession

Busted: Six suspected carjackers held

RAWALPINDI: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police arrested six suspected carjackers and bike lifters on Saturday and recovered three stolen motorbikes from their possession. Acting on increasing number of vehicle lifting incidents in the garrison city, the CIA police launched a special crackdown and caught a suspect red-handed while he was lifting a motorbike from Dubai Plaza on Sixth Road. The suspect then lead to the arrest of his accomplices - Sumera Bibi, her brother-in-law Fayyaz, Amir Ashfaq and Zulfiqar. According to the police, the outlaws, during preliminary investigations, confessed to having lifted a car and seven motorbikes so far. Further interrogations are underway.
