PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has banned the hiring of special community police all over the province, until it gives further orders. The provincial government had earlier hired special community police in different districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar and Malakand, but these personnel will not have their tenure renewed next year after completion of their service. The provincial government delayed the decision of regularising their duty owing to their poor record of performance. On the other hand, authorities have approved recruiting of police in all districts of the province and regularising them after the recruitment.
