BAHAWALPUR: A girl was killed and her father seriously injured on Wednesday in a fight that started among children. Police said that children of Ghulam Hussain and Riaz, residents of a colony in Chak 106/DB, had a fight over a game. They said Hussain scolded the children and took his children home. Riaz’s children went home and complained to their father, who, along with two accomplices, broke into Hussain’s house and shot Hussain and his daughter, Parveen. She died on the spot and Hussain was taken to a hospital with a bullet injury to his shoulder. Riaz and his accomplices fled the scene. Doctors treating him said that he was now out of danger. Yazman City police said that a complaint was registered against Riaz on Hussain’s complaint. No arrests have been made so far.
