Family rivalry: Armed clash claims life, injures five

Four children were also injured by the exchange of fire between the two rival families.

BANNU: One person was killed and five others were injured in an armed clash between two rival families in Kot Adil, Bannu, an official of Saddar Police told the Express Tribune. Nadeem Nayaz, lodged an FIR at Saddar Police Station against Laiq Dad, Barkat Ali and Hamidullah. Nadeem said that the accused opened fire at Fakhar Alam, and killed him. Laiq Dad lodged another FIR at the Saddar Police Station against Dil Ayaz, Adil Nayaz, Khan Ayaz and Fakhar Alam, stating that the accused injured him in their firing. Four children, who had been playing in a nearby field, were also injured by the exchange of fire between the two rival families. They have been identified as Iqra Bibi, Fareshtha, Momen and Sidra. The police official informed that the motive behind the clash was an old enmity between the two families.
