Breaking away from the lawn norm, the brand SILK is a classy girl’s dream come true. With straight cut lines and no frills the collection emphasises mainly on the material, print and the colour scheming. The line mainly consists of bright colours of yellow, green, red and blues with minimal patterns. Each shirt is a full piece instead of being stitched together, which is a common practice when it comes to colour blocking.
“All the material is digitally printed, hence, making copies in the market will be difficult. The embellishment is minimal as we’ve concentrated on the colour blocking,” stated Sadaf, as she held up a particular piece for emphasis.
With its light embellishments and long lengths the traditional-modern fusion gives a formal look and is the choice of the season for all those searching for something different to wear this Eid.
“I love the simplicity. It’s classy. I am wearing one piece and I’ve tucked it into my jeans so it gives off a neat look,” said Zahra Raza, CEO of Latelier.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, Fawad Khan was of the opinion that simplicity is the best: “If you look at high end retail brands in the west it’s all about being clean and classy; that’s what we wanted to bring here. Usually, the general practice is to overdo the embellishment but we concentrate on the material, stitching and the classy look,” he stated.
The line has been priced between Rs5,500 and Rs10,000.
