Public transport: LTC launches buses on seven routes

The LTC has also established a driver training school.

LAHORE: Lahore Transport Company (LTC) has launched its air-conditioned bus service on seven routes over the last two months, a meeting to review the LTC performance was told on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by LTC CEO Khwaja Haider Latif.

The buses have been launched on Route B-51 (City Railway Station to Liaqatabad), B-55 (City Railway Station to Sabzazar), B-56 (Thokar Niaz Baig to Raiwind), B-08 (Railway Station to Allama Iqbal Airport), B-28 (Allama Iqbal International Airport to Valencia Town), B-49 (City Railway Station to Kamoke) and B-18 (City Railway Station to Tajpura) have been activated.

The meeting was informed that the women-only Pink Bus Service launch had been successful. A decision was then taken to increase the number of pink buses with international assistance.

The meeting was also about a student discount card scheme allowing them to pay concessional fare of Rs10. The LTC has also established a driver training school.
