Road mishap: One killed, seven injured of a family

The family, going to Pirpai from Islambad, were travelling in a car driven by Masroor Khan when plunged it into a pit.

NOWSHERA: One person was killed and seven members of a family were injured when a car plunged in a roadside pit near Nowshera City police station on Saturday. SHO Hidayat Khan told The Express Tribune that the mishap occurred around 4pm. The family, going to Pirpai from Islambad, were travelling in a car driven by Masroor Khan when plunged it into a pit. Khan died on the spot while his four children, wife, mother and sister were injured. SHO Khan said that the pit was dug by the district government for construction work when the driver, while turning the vehicle near Bakra Mandi turn, plunged it into the pit. The family was taken to District Headquarters Hospital and their relatives were informed. The SHO added that Khan was a resident of Islamabad and was coming to Pirpai to celebrate Eid with his relatives.
