Thilan Samaraweera and Sohail Tanvir displayed impressive performances to help Kandurata Warriors to a 32-run win over Uthura Rudras in the Sri Lankan Premier League (SLPL).

Samaraweera hit a quickfire 45-ball 71 as Warriors posted 168 for five in 20 overs before Tanvir took four wickets to help restrict Rudras to 105 for seven in 16 overs in the rain-affected game. The Sri Lankan international was aided by Jeevantha Kulatunga, who made 31.

Set a target of 138 in 16 overs, none of the Rudras batsmen got going with Tanvir and John Hastings destroying the batting line-up to help the side post its first win of the competition.
