On August 16, gunmen dragged Shia travellers off buses en route to Rawalpindi from Gilgit and killed them at point blank range.
According to a HRCP statement, the authorities owe an explanation to the people for their inability to crack down on sectarian killers and for their failure in protecting the lives of the citizens.
“HRCP would like to know what words of solace and reassurance the government can offer to the families of the victims and members of a community that is increasingly certain that terrorists get support from within the security agencies,” the statement said.
Drawing similarities between the Shia killings in Gilgit Baltistan and in Kohistan in February, the human rights body stated that the buses were stopped on a main road by men in military uniforms, Shia passengers were separated from the rest and executed.
Equally denouncing the killing of three men belonging to the Hazara community in Quetta on the same day, HRCP stated the events underlined the dangers faced by Shias in Pakistan.
HRCP said that the terrorists managed to strike again only because there were not tracked down after the earlier killings in Kohistan and Quetta.
“The sectarian killings and Kamra attack prove that the Taliban were nobody's friends and those who had created them, had taken Pakistan down the road of annihilation,” the HRCP stated.

These Murderers, their backers and their supporters will all be answerable to the Lord on fine day! However i do not understand where are the Aalims and Maulanas. Why are they not publicly condemning these acts of murder and telling the people that this is wrong?
@Salman mirza:
Are secular states peaceful? What is happening in India, Burma and various other countries where massacres of Muslims unabated. Real thing is we Muslim extremely lack knowledge of our religion, Qur'an and Sharia. We have only labelled Islamic Republic but acting otherwise. Our religion preaches peace and respect / honour others. As regards such heinous crimes and non tolerance is repugnant to Islamic concept. Now also see the so called civilized western countries; the magnitude of intolerance they are generally obsessed with is not less than any other country. Look at the situation in Afghanistan, Palestine, Kashmir and other states what is going on and who are doing that all. In the instant highly condemnable incidents whosoever committed be seen in the over all backdrop of events taking place. The role of foreign elements n forces who are bent upon to harm Pakistan can't be ruled out.
Sectarian killings, Kamra attack prove Taliban are nobody's friend
Pakistan/ISI created talibans to destroy Afghanistan. Now talibans know Pakistan just used them.
Shias are not a minority in Pakistan
You often change the facts about this. shias are an accepted part of the majority muslim community in Pakistan and one of the two approved Islamic faiths. the other being hanafi
Anyways, They have proved they are very powerful they can peneterate wherever whenever they want. these perpetrators have made various attackes on ARMY, directly but it is strange PAK ARMY still unable to CONTROL them properly / totally. What we should understand?? What it means ?? either ARMY can not control them or they do not want????
Imran Khan does not think so His view is that if U S kills our people Taliban can kill our people too
Correction ! They certainly were created by Pak Army and recognised by GOP, before the rest of world, apart from Saudis. So how come they are all of sudden "Nobody's Friends" ? They were Pakistan's friends until it suited them, hence now its a payback time for the monster you created ! This is the price one pays for all those petrodollars, for their version of Islam/Wahabism and the actual cost of this is an destruction of possibly secular society in Pakistan !
One has to think of these attackers as supernatural human beings, who commit the same act over and over again without being detected or intercepted by any security agencies, and released by the court at times too. If they are just ordinary people like us then how can a nation that has its sophesticated army, government, Judiciary and the best intelligence agency(ISI) in the world allow these low life killers with only AKs come out and kill people over & over again in an attempt of ethnic cleansing. The answer is very easy.. either these low life militants are smarter than pk govt., intelligence and security OR maybe it is all in complete agreement with the establishment. There is no doubt that outside influence is involved. i.e american interest via GCC money to destablize pakistan over the blood of shias and true sunnis, while groups like alqaida, taliban ,lashkar e j, will do the dirty job in the name of islam. People will be forced to take arms if there is no protection against these animals.
If Taliban have their way, they will kill all of us and when there is no one around to kill, they will kill each other. The last Talib will then press the button on his suicide jacket.
P.S. I am not trying to be funny.
Shia killing, Hindus & Christian and Ahmedi killings, ethnic killings, honor killing, target killing, disappearing killings. What we have become-killing field.
Khalid
@Salman mirza: Bravo! Agreed with each and every point made.
why is it that when army wants to initiate an operation, such explosions take place.... is it coincidence?
agencies plan it well for public opinion...air force is suppose to initiate operation in north waziristan, hence an attack on air base = gud public opinion making in air force fir operation
These kind of Taliban actually work along with HRCP in co ordinated way. HRCP should focus on human rights instead they tend to blame everything on ISI! like its prime objective is not Human rights but bring down national institution.
Terrorist who attacked Kamra and in GB are not creation of ISI but are effectively working against ISI and Pakistan interests and are paid pawns of RAW and others. HRCP knows that then what and whose purpose is it serving?
Oh , there exists a Human Rights Commission of Pakistan??? Seeing the condition of Ahmedis, Christians and Hindus in Pakistan it never came to our mind that such an institution might be existing in Pakistan!!! But where have they been during all these time???
To stop Shia killing you have to eradicate bigotry from the ill society. For that you need to educate people the followin things. 1. religion is just a personal matter. 2. state should be declared as secular one. 3. Madarassa should be in state control 4. armed forces should not be allowed to create jihadi fundos or sectarian killing machines. 5. State is not responsible for declaring someone Muslim or non Muslim. 6. Pakistan and Pakistani should mind their own business first. Stop acting like champion of so called ummah.
Thank you HRCP. But please do something more about this Shia genocide in Pakistan. It is going on for too long and it seems like 80% of the population is involved in some way.
