Daughters of Al Huda (II)

KARACHI: Institutions like Al Huda should be banned if not at least strictly regulated. I remember its students visiting my school — they think they know all there is to know about religion and the need to guide misguided (read wealthy) women. I’ve seen people become intolerant and narrow-minded after taking their classes. Their focus seems to be on making their own lives, as well as that of others, unbearable, as if religious obligations are not actually a good, private part of spiritual life but rather meant as a punishment from God. Huda means “right guidance”. How ironic!

maryam | 14 years ago | Reply dear ayesha i used to think the same before landing there. But believe me, facts are really really different. Al huda ppl do nothing but just help one to develop the true bond with Quran. You may ask, whats the need of it? we may read Quran on our own. Let me tell you , i used to argue with my friend with the same logic. " i am a doctor(educated person) , i know how to read quran, i have translations, i can read at my own". But my friend insisted to go there once. Finally i joined alhuda . u might agree with me if i say that no one can become a doctor without getting admission to a medical college. Believe me, to get a good understanding of Quran , you need learned and practicing teachers, a healthy environment, authentic material. so dear me, join any institute where all these criteria r met. Because it is the basic necessity to nourish our souls with Quran. U ll find the purpose of ur life, the true happiness ,only if u get a good understanding of it, seriously. This book is the best among alllll anxiolytics and antidepressants. Its a life saving book. wassalam
