Imran, Rashid join hands against PML-N
Addressing a large gathering of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and his supporters, Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad warned that a rigged election would lead to a civil disobedience.
The rally, organised on the eve of Independence Day, marked political alliance between the two parties. Imran Khan, in his remarks said that by next year, on 14 August, a new and prosperous Pakistan would emerge.
He emphasised that the people of Waziristan were citizens of Pakistan like everyone else. He said his party would lead the solidarity march to Waziristan to expose the excesses committed by the incumbent government.

Well i followed the meetings of SR with IK and then the jalsa, but i dint even hear a word like " alliance ". Infact everyone denied it..IK was invited over there.. I dont see any wrong thing in it..
More importantly IK mentioned and stood by his rivalry with SR in the past. He was not like Ch.Nisar who defended Ameer Muqam by saying that he was only Musharraf Friend and not among those who suported Dictatorship...( Reference : Off the record with kashif Abbasi )

a good alliance between 2 politicaians. They've got lots of things in common eg, no vision , no strategy, no policies, plenty of third class, emotional and cheap words and most importatly the blame game, in particlular against pmln. Sheikh's history's very clear. Now he's been rejected by all the main parties and he joins hands with another potential loser, whose track record is 1 seat over 15 years. Most of the time Imran runs away from both the main election and the bye-elections when he realises that he's no chance of getting any votes. Imran admitted in his book that he helped his english brother-in-law on winning a gambling bet and got 50% of the winning so that he could clear his PTI overdaft. The questions is where's he suddenly getting millions of rupees to finance his election campaigns and marketing? Something fishy?.

Imran can fool his young supporters who were in craddle during Musharaf rule when Rashid had become Musharaf's voice but not mature and responsible people. PTI is finished in Rawalpindi.

I believe in Imran. Whatever he does must be right, lets wait for the future where he will explain why, but for now VOTE is only for PTI.
All TV stations including print media did not show even a glimpse of this public meeting...a complete black out.Some body tell the public at large who is responsible?? Media or was it government planning??
These are hard decisions a leader make. Those who are opposing status quo are all welcome, though some are more palatable to us and others are less. Bring them on and let see how the united front can fight these corrupt government parties of today, from provincial to federal. If alliance is possible then don't go alone.

Most definitely..the popularity of PTI is multiplying each day..but i have a doubt... i don't think Imran Khan will accommodate Sheikh Rasheed with PTI because neither in his speech nor in any interview he has mentioned anything like this. However he is keeping all options open..a sign of maturing politician..a very good sign indeed for Pakistan and for himself too.
Regardless, please remember that sheikh sb lost in 2008 and then by-elections from an ordinary political worker.

Every action of Imran Khan is leading to only one thing: Increase Vote bank. The people who say why is he doing this are not aware of current vote system of Pakistan. They should do some research people posting their comments here. How can the most corrupt government still end winning in election? Example: NA-151 by-elections: Gilani's son emerges as victor. These are people who have cases against them in court and yet they end up winning elections (Hajj corruption).
I believe Imran Khan vision is great, it is time to get rid of PPP and PML-N for atleast 5 next years. This is a good strategy. Best solution by Imran Khan against the "Muk Muka" PPP and PML-N. I wish I could criticize the political parties of current Government but my post will not be posted here then. But, people are aware who did corruption and how political forces gave more emphasis to retain in Power rather than National interest and National Progress. Recalling the Hajj scam, they didn't even leave the Haji's. Ultimately, people of Pakistan know only one thing Politicans come only for power to gain more power; they have no interest for people or for Pakistan progress.
Every day in Ramadan I pray and wish for better Pakistan and I see that happening only from Imran Khan.

Making an alliance with Imran proved Sheikh Rashid is a clever politician. Sheikh may gain something out of it but surely Imran will lose.
I think Imran khan should give party ticket to youngster and a Graduates of top Universities like IBA,LUMS,KU,NUST,and NED . Then all the problems will be solved in better way .No more need for old politicians.

PTI is turning out to be a sanctuary for Musharraf's cronies. All the politicians who actively supported the Martial Law imposed by General Musharraf are now either a part of PTI or are into an alliance arrangement with the Party. The 'change' it seems has changed into something horrible and devastating.
To bring Sheikh Rashid to his fold, IK is risking his newly found popularity. Sheikh Rashid's past track record is such that he has been changing his loyalty almost every decade. He was a trusted lieutenant of Mian Nawaz Sharif and ditched him and then became a team member of despot Musharraf and now has jumped into the bandwagon of IK. Sheikh Rashid will influence IK to get Altaf Hussain into the alliance. The main reason for that would be that IK and SR need numerical strength for their meetings in Karachi in the time to come. Altaf is expert in getting his 'disciples' at short notice.
