KARACHI: The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology would organise a flag-hoisting ceremony to mark the country’s 65th Independence Day on Tuesday. The federal university’s registrar, Prof. Dr Qamarul Haq, announced that the event would be held at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal campus’s Abdul Qadeer auditorium at 7:55 am, and would involve students taking part in a debating contest and singing national songs. The university’s students will also perform a drama that will highlight the significance of the day. Dr Haq added that students on the occasion would also take an oath to stay away from using unfair means during their exams.
