Murder: Killed for ‘turning down marriage proposal’

Allegedly by a man who had wanted to marry her but his proposal was rejected by the deceased.

A woman was shot and killed in Civil Lines area on Monday allegedly by a man who had wanted to marry her but his proposal was rejected by the deceased.

The FIR registered on the complaint filed by Shehbaz Ahmed, a nephew of the deceased, accused Muhammad Faisal, a resident of Chak 104-RB, and his two accomplices of killing Nusrat Bibi, 35, over her refusal to his marriage proposal. The two accomplices were identified as Afzal and Bilal. Nusrat Bibi was shot half an hour before sunrise when she was on her way back to the house where she worked as a domestic helper. She was taken to a hospital where she died.
