One ANP activist killed, two injured in Karachi

KARACHI: An Awami National Party (ANP) activist was killed and two others sustained injuries in a firing incident in the Banaras area of Karachi, Express News reported on Monday.

The injured were shifted to a local hospital.

According to Express News correspondent Nadeem Khan, unknown armed men opened fire in the area, injuring three. One of the injured succumbed to the bullet wounds while in hospital.

After the incident, a heavy contingent of police and Rangers was deployed near the Banaras Chowk to maintain law and order in the area.
