Oil tanker explosion kills 4 in Faisalabad

The explosion occurred while the oil tanker was being welded in a workshop near GST Chowk in Faisalabad.

FAISALABAD:

Four people were killed and five others were injured when an oil tanker exploded near GST Chowk in Faisalabad on Monday.


The explosion occurred while the oil tanker was being welded in a workshop. Several nearby houses were also damaged due to the explosion.


Residents of the area said that tankers are regularly welded there at the workshops. Moreover, they have launched complaints with the authorities, but no action has been taken to stop this activity.


The injured were shifted to the district headquarter hospital of Faisalabad.

Sultan Ahmed. | 13 years ago | Reply There are many shops in the residential areas in Faisalabad,dealing with oil and gas,they all illegally selling oil and gas which is permanent risk for the local people. Complaints were made to local authorities but overlooked, through this channel I would like to complaint to authority concerned to please take notice of them dealing illegally with oil and gas,otherwise untoward incident may be occurred in any other place.
