Crime: Office burgled; bag snatched

The bag contained Rs1,100 cash, a cell phone, pension book and other valuables.

RAWALPINDI:


An office at Peshawar Road was burgled and a woman was deprived of her bag in the limits of Racecourse police in the last 24 hours. In the first incident, Dr Arif Aziz lodged complaint with the police that thieves had entered his office by breaking door locks and made away with $1,600, 1,600 Pounds and 1,500 Euros.


Meanwhile, Syed Faizan Ali Shah lodged a complaint with the same police that two motorcyclists snatched his mother’s handbag in Afshan Colony area.

The bag contained Rs1,100 cash, a cell phone, pension book and other valuables, he said.

The police registered separate cases under the relevant laws but no arrests or recoveries have been made yet.
