LAKKI MARWAT:
A nine-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an 18-year-old boy in Nawar Khel village on Tuesday.
According to SHO Asad Ali at Lakki Police Station, the assault victim told the police that she was on her way home around 11am when the accused, Shaukat, kidnapped her and took her to his house where he sexually assaulted her.
The victim’s mother wanted to hush the matter and hide it from her husband and sons but when the bleeding did not stop, the victim was rushed to the City Hospital Lakki Marwat.
While talking to The Express Tribune, Dr Sumaira said that the victim was in a critical condition when she was admitted.
They had to rush her to the operation theatre to stop the bleeding.
Ali said that after they were informed by the family, they raided Shaukat’s house and arrested his father Fazal Rahman and brother Abdur Rasheed. Police further said that they also took his vehicle into custody during the raid and sealed all routes of escape.
After the FIR was registered against the accused, some influential local political leaders of the area started pressurising them to withdraw the charges and solve the dispute.
Police officials informed that the accused belongs to an influential family in the area.
The SHO assured the family that the culprit would be caught soon.

Right...so that girl should find four male witnesses to her ordeal (as per our Zina Ordinance in Pakistan's constitution) if she wants to gets the rapist punished.
Sometimes you feel the Sharia is best for crimes like these...
