Extortion: Man injured during firing on CNG pump

SHABQADAR: Five unidentified robbers opened fire on Shabqadar CNG station early on Tuesday, wounding watchman Miraj Khan, according to a police official. The injured was taken to a hospital while the alleged assailants fled. An FIR has been registered and investigations are underway. According to local residents, owner of the CNG station had been under extortion threats and had refused to pay. Police believe this might be the reason for the attack. An intelligence source told The Express Tribune that since Shabqadar borders Mohmand Agency, a large number of businessmen, especially marble factory owners, pay extortion money to different outlaws.
