KARACHI: Advance Telecom’s Mukhtar Ahmed played a match-winning innings in a seven-wicket win over Port Qasim in their last group match in the Advance Telecom 2nd Corporate T20 Cup 2012. After opting to bat first, Port Qasim made 138 for the loss of eight wickets. Danyal Ahsen excelled with a brilliant knock of 53 off 44 balls with two massive sixes and three fours. Sohail Khan, Waqas Ahmed and M Azhar claimed two wickets each. In reply, Advance Telecom started aggressively with Mukhtar and M Boota giving a brisk start of 92 runs in 11.4 overs. Mukhtar played a superb knock of 83 off 70 balls hitting three sixes and nine fours while Boota played the supporting role with his 31 off 22. Advance Telecom chased down the score with ease in the final over of the match. This was Port Qasim’s third consecutive defeat in the contest.
