Illegal detention: Case against cop for detaining citizen

The case has been registered under Section 155-C of the Police Order of 2002 on the directive of the Lahore High Court

FAISALABAD: Mamu Kanjan police have registered a case against Sub Inspector Rana Naseer for illegally detaining a citizen at a private torture cell. The case has been registered under Section 155-C of the Police Order of 2002 on the directive of the Lahore High Court after one Abdul Ghafoor was released from Naseer, who is the station house officer of Mamu Kanjan police, by a court bailiff. SI Naseer is accused of detaining Ghafoor, a resident of Mamu Kanjan, at the torture cell, in Chak 123-JB Siddhupura, for about two months. Police said they were raiding the nearby areas to track down the accused policeman.
