RAWALPINDI:

Over 100 employees of the health department have been working without salaries for the past four months, creating unrest amongst the employees.

The 152 sanitary patrol workers, inducted in the Rawalpindi Health Department on the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for Dengue Programme, have not received a single penny for the last four months.

They were promised salaries in the month of Ramazan but now they are being told that they will get salaries after Eid.

This situation has greatly perturbed the workers who are finding it difficult to run their households in such a situation.

The workers have demanded the chief minister to issue orders for disbursing their salaries.
