HARIPUR: A man drowned in Ghazi Barotha Hydropower Channel here on Thursday. However, his body could not be recovered despite efforts by the local divers. Police and eyewitnesses said that some picnickers were bathing in the water channel, when one of them was swept away by a water current but his body could not be recovered till the filing of this report. He was later identified as Ali Haider, resident of Hazro. This was the third drowning incident during the last two weeks.
